Indigo was one of the primary colours used in Bukhara textiles. This chapan from the end of the 19th century/earliest 20th has a deep blue indigo ground in a rich, saturated colour. There is an all-over repeating motif of circular medallions/rosettes with a white/cream centre with pink/red accents.
